Here is another intriguing yarn: the nylon is a light and lofty core, while the silky covering is all cotton. In other words, the mill has taken a knitted cotton tube and filled it with unspun nylon, producing a yarn that is round, springy and has remarkable yardage for a bulky yarn. Unlike knitted tubes that are empty, Athena does not fold as it is knitted, producing fabric with a soft cotton hand that has body, depth and excellent stitch definition. Great for any type of knitting, Athena comes in all of our hand dyed colors. |
